Do you guys take walk-ins?

Yes! It is an easy process 😃

Feel free to visit our shop and see what our schedules look like for the day! It is often easier to brainstorm when we can discuss piercing/tattoo ideas in person. However, we may be busy with appointments! If you want to ensure we are available for you, please text/call to set up a time with us.

Piercings: Kyle’s appointments usually take about 30 minutes. We have a range of jewelry to select from. Appointments are very easy set up ahead of time if you want to claim a time for the day. Simply text 319 569 9199 with your desired piercing and when you’d like to come in, we will get back to you as soon as we can, often the same day.

Tattoos: Dan usually schedules larger tattoos in the early afternoon and leaves the evenings (3pm-7pm) open for walk-in tattoos. We have lots of pre-drawn flash to choose from if you are feeling spontaneous and can’t decide what to get. Most walk-in tattoos will fall into the $100-$200 price range. Larger inquiries (bigger than just a couple inches) will benefit from scheduling ahead of time.

age requirements?

Tattoo : must be 18, no exceptions.

Piercing : under 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian. Must be 6+ for earlobe piercings. Must be 12+ for helix piercings. Must be 15+ for most other piercings. Must be 18+ for surface piercings.

How much will this cost?

Piercing:

• Most piercings will start at $90 (includes a $45 procedural fee)

• Will vary depending on material/type of jewelry chosen.

Tattoo

• Our shop minimum is $80, our artists’ rates are $150/hr.

• Estimates may be offered initially, final price will be determined at the end of the session.

Can I pay With my credit card/Phone?

Yes! We accept most forms of payment including: cash, card, venmo, paypal, cashapp, etc.

tattoo touch-ups, re-works, cover-ups?

-Touch-Ups: Dan offers free touch-ups on all of his work. Please reach out if something about your tattoo is bothering you. I want you to be as happy as possible with your tattoo.

-Re-Work: a re-work is when an artist works on an existing piece that was started by a different artist. Dan accepts re-work requests. Re-works are NOT free. A rough estimate can be given for your re-work request if you send a photo of your project area.

-Cover-ups: Dan also accepts cover-up requests. A consultation will save both of us a lot of time. We need to be able to assess the condition of the old tattoo in person to determine what we can work with. If you are considering a cover-up project, please reach out to Dan about setting up a free 15 minute consultation.

WHere Should I park?

• Free street parking starts 4 blocks directly East of the shop. (25 S Gilbert, Iowa City, Iowa, 52240). Iowa Ave, College St, and Washington St are good streets to start scouting. Give yourself an extra 15 minutes to find a spot and walk.

• Tower Place and Parking offers the 1st hour free, then $2/hr.

• Chauncey Swan Ramp offers the 1st hour free, then $2/hr. Free on Sundays.

• Downtown parking meters are $2.25/hr. They are free after 6pm. They are free on Sundays.

Cancellation policy/deposits

For tattoos, we collect a $50 non-refundable deposit to reserve a spot in the calendar. If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, we will keep your deposit. Last minute reschedules may be considered in case of emergency. The $50 will be deducted from the total price come time to checkout.

If you are running late, please just let us know. If we don’t hear anything within 15 minutes of your scheduled appointment, we will assume you are not coming to your appointment.

Numbing Cream?

We don’t recommend numbing cream for small tattoos. We do not provide numbing cream. If you have applied numbing cream before your appointment, make sure to tell your artist.
